Mani Achan's Mother passed away on Sunday 21 September 2008 at Kottayam

Dr. Mani Chacko Achan's mother, Mr. Thankamma Mani passed away on Sunday 21 September 2008 at Kottayam. She was sick for some time. Mrs. Thankamma Mani served the CSI Church  in several capacities with her husband  Rt. Rev. M.C. Mani, who was the Bishop of the  Madhya Kerala Diocese the CSI Church in Kerala. Mani achan and Kochamma were beside the mother at the time of  her death. Rev. Dr. Mani Chacko  was the Principal of Gurukul from 2001-2006. He served the Gurukul as  a faculty memebr for 16 years and several years as the Head of the Department of the Old Testament.  Now he is the Director of Ecumenical Christian Centre at Bangalore.  The Gurukul community mourned the death by observing one minute silence after the worship  service on 22nd Monday. Principal Dr. Samuel Meshack expressed Gurukul community's condolence to the bereaved family.
